Until a teenager is an adult, and is mature and responsible enough to move out and take care of themselves, they really don't have a right to expect total freedom or privacy. I know that teenagers don't want to hear that, but that's the way it is. Until the kids are on their own, the parents are responsible for their well-being. They're also held responsible for the actions of their kids, and can be sued for their kids behavior.
