Do you think freedom of speech will exist after Obama is in office?

Democrats want to shut down talk radio and any other news outlet not spewing the Democrat party or liberal party lines. How? With the "Fairness Doctrine" passed as law, all talk radio and other outlets not giving the state sponsored answers will be obliged to give equal time and money to those who do. Freedom of speech will no longer be profitable in the media. Dissenting speech may no longer be seen through any normal media channels.

What are your thought on the fairness doctrine and the effect of it on our political the religious landscapes?

I think it is a desperate, pathetic move on behalf of the left. They obviously know that their talking points cannot survive on radio, as was proven with the failure of several liberal radio shows.

Since they cannot sustain radio on their own, they want to move into the successful right radio field. I would assume it is because they want to convert everyone.

Too bad they don’t know that by forcing liberal talk radio on us, we’ll just turn it off or tune to another station.

They’re jealous that the right actually has a very successful, influential medium, more powerful than their ABC, NBC and CBS combined.

Of course freedom of speech will exist–for liberal and socialist causes. Conservatives will be silenced and Obama and his cronies will rule!

Although the "Fairness Doctrine" is aimed at silencing talk radio conservatives, there is no reason to suppose that those targeted won’t fight back.
Further, world events will eventually force their way into US consciousness again. An Obama Presidency will likely speed this process up. Issues related to survival, rather than political correctness, will come to the fore.
Obama’s a pretty good organizer, but he’s not the greatest threat our nation will face in the next few years. And he still has to deal with the Constitution and its checks and balances.
