That's because each of us chose to join for some reason. Even the people naive enough to think they're simply doing it for the money or college fund discover that there's more to themselves and their service than that. I was never delusional enough during my service to think that our country is perfect, but I always kept in mind that my service enables people back home to enjoy the freedoms that our service has helped keep secure. I retired a few years ago, but still work with the military, and still feel like I'm doing my part, no matter how small, to help secure the freedom of our country and her people.<br><b>References : </b><br>23 years Army. 5 years contractor. 27 months deployed to Iraq. They put their life on the line every day. While they may not be shooting every day, every second they are out there overseas they are risking their life to protect your freedom.
