the first amendment of the constitution protects freedom of the press which has allowed the press be what it si today. so should this great freedom continue?
The majority of the press is controlled by a handful of people with ulterior motives using fear mongering and brainwashing on the general public. If a reporter doesn’t tow the company line, they are fired. So it’s not really free at all.

Freedom of the press was crucial at the time of the revolution. It was speech and the written word that were being suppressed under the tyranny of the King of England. Today’s press is merely going back and forth primarily reporting gossip or slander. Enemies sell far more papers than friends. The average person is now less informed than a similar person in the 18th century because they grow tired of having to wade through all of the garbage to get to the actual news.

That freedom is going to continue unless you can ammend the Constitution. Why shouldn’t this freedom continue?
There was once a time when a company could only own 16 raido stations – 8 FM and 8 AM. This allowed different perspectives of the news. Now, a company can own as many stations as it wants. Clear Channel Communications own over 3000 stations. This gives the listeners of those 3000 radio stations the news from only one perspective. And now that that cork has been popped, it unlikely that it’ll ever be put back in.
