schools should not be allowed to interfere on people's lives outside of school. That's none of their business.

okay, i think it is so dumb that schools get into peoples private lives out of school. they should only worry about what goes on in school!

No. Mainy cause freedom of speech is a CONSTITUTIONAL right. If schools tried to control what you said at home, they are asking for a court date.

yes they should limit students freedom of speech online to an extent. Schools should not have complete control over what kids say but in some occasions, it is very necessary. Children have completed suicide due to cyber bullying so yes, schools should definitely limit students freedom of speech when it is dramatically affecting the lives of other students and preventing them from getting a normal education. When it comes to cursing and joking around, kids should have more freedom.

I believe people should have the right of speech regardless their age. This include whether your in school or not. So on that topic, I say Hell no. =)

If schools start controlling what you can and cannot do during non-school hours then you are losing some of your freedoms. If it is legal for you to do or say at your age, then you should be able to do it outside of school. How is a school going to know what you IM to your friend anyway? Schools need to mind their own business and focus on punishing students for after hour illegal things only. I'm all for schools being upset if you do drugs, but not what you post on facebook.
