Which freedom would personally affect your daily life in the 21st century?

Posted on January 17th, 2010 by admin

-Freedom of Religion
-Speech
-Press
-Assembly
-Petition

And why?
If you didn’t have one of those freedoms

It is all a big f*cking game anyways, so why not jump through a few more hoops….at least their cards have been played.

I’m in a cynical mood tonight….what else can I say, but what jumps to mind first…

all of them. without even one of our basic freedoms given to us in the bill or rights we have lost important protection against losing the rest. but it seems as if the government has long ignored the constitution and what is written there. they no longer care about history and are bound and determined to repeat it.

By far the freedom of speech would affect us all the most. Freedom of speech conveys all those other freedoms. They are all an extension of the freedom of speech and the freedom of our thoughts.

2012. Re-institution of church and state will much dampen religious freedom.

As animals we have no freedoms. We just like to dress up and pretend we do. Pfft, freedom of speech. It’s only a freedom in that no one is stopping you from being viciously attacked if you oppose the standard view. Assebly? Petition? What freedoms are those? They are just saying that you can go and stand places and yap at people who don’t care. You can do that anyway, these are just saying that you will be repremanded differently from somewhere in which it is against the law, in this case your embaressment would be your punishment. Face it, we’re all slaves in this form.

    Most?

I would be mortified to have to attend a church I objected to.

Yahoo Answers would be a bear, since I would get violated every time I opened my mouth.

    Press/Speech, same thing.

Assembly isn’t my gig, but I would have a lot more people pestering me if they didn’t have some rally to go bother with.

What is freedom of petition? If the government isn’t respecting my other freedoms this one isn’t worth the paper it is written on.

I think if you take away my freedom (as the Patriot Act already HAS) you diminish my life both in substance and in character. What specific right you remove is not very relevant.

Freedom has earned a very weird meaning in the 21st Century. Today people say that Free sex, Atheism, Alcohol, Nudity,Homosexuality, Wife swapping, Pornography, Voyeurism constitute Freedom. Is that what 21st century is all about ?
