This (freedom from religion) is already in place in the USA. The law does not say you "have to" practice a religion. Nor does the government say you have to practice a religion. These people really need to read the first amendment. The USA is not a dictatorship (yet). This sounds like an attempt to obliterate any religion, which is a violation of the constitution.

The land of the free and the home of the brave.

Fortunately God does not ask for religion but rather a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.

I am religious, but I support them, because fighting for separation of church and state benefits everyone.

Besides freedom *from* religion is directly implied in our right to freedom *of* religion. If I’m not free from someone else’s religion, I’m not really free to practice my own, now am I?

Only a government that remains religiously neutral can preserve and protect the freedoms of ALL its citizens.

You can’t have freedom of religion without also having freedom from religion–that is, having someone else’s religion imposed upon you.

I think the concept of freedom from religion is a sound one. I guess it depends on what you mean by it. I think religious people have the right to be so and follow for themselves and with others who believe as they do. I don't think they have the right to foist it on everyone and plaster it all over spaces we and others of diverse beliefs share.

Sounds like mind control to me. People should be free to believe what they want to believe and it’s a right in our country to freely practice your religion. And those who gripe constantly about religion "controlling" our country, this is a democracy and people vote and enact laws based on their beliefs and principles. That’s just the way it works. If the majority have particular beliefs that influences how they view something like abortion, then it is their right to vote based on that. If the majority believe abortion is OK and want to vote to allow it, then that’s how it goes in a democracy. "Freedom from Religion" is a crock.

EDIT: and the people complain about hearing about God on TV, but they don’t seem to mind the large swath of filth being broadcast and crammed down our kids throats on practically every channel you flip to. I’m afraid of where this country is heading! You don’t have to believe in God, but you need to accept the fact that the majority of people do, whether you like or choose to accept that fact or not is irrelevent.

I'd like to go a day without hearing or seeing some goofy reference to god on the tv & radio. I thought your question was about the 1st Amendment. I'm glad we have our own mob now, makes you feel good, you know with America's history with mobs.
