What countries have more religious freedom and rights for women and minorities than the USA?

Posted on February 20th, 2010 by admin

The people who answered "none" to this question can’t be bothered to look. They just take it for granted that the USA is the best in every category, which is a form of intentional ignorance that should make other Americans very angry.

For women, the USA is 27th. Norway, Finland, Sweden, Iceland, New Zealand, Philippines, Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands, Latvia, Germany, and a bunch of other countries are doing better than we do.

For religious freedom, the USA does pretty well. Hungary, Estonia, and Ireland are the only countries with as much religious freedom as the USA.

I don’t think it’s possible to make a ranking of minority rights, just because that term means so many things to so many people. The USA has many, many more minorities than most other countries, which results in both bad and good indicators. If anyone knows of a ranking for this statistic, I’d be curious to see it.

Under our constitutional rights of freedom of religion is one of those right?

The right to impose our religeous beliefs on the public by displays of mangers, crosses and other religeous symbols in public places? Do we have the right to display anti religeous symbols in public places?

Our country has a religous heritage. The Supreme Court has ruled that such things can indeed be displayed to reflect that heritage.

Athiests in fact displayed a hate plaque next to a manger scene in Washington DC.

what are teenage rights and what freedom do teens have?

Posted on February 12th, 2010 by admin

I need a very brief result of about 200 words.Ialso need information on how I will be able to convince my parents to grant me freedom?

As long as you live with your parents, the only freedoms you have are the ones they grant you.
If you want to convince your parents to give you more freedom, prove to them you are honest, trustworthy, responsible, hard working, and reliable. Prove by your ACTIONS.
If you lie to them, don’t do what you’re supposed to do (chores without being asked 10 times, etc..), goof off in school, be lazy, make poor decisions, are selfish, etc…they have no reason to give you more freedom.
The more mature you are, the more freedoms you will have.

how can we use our freedom rights in proper way?

Posted on February 7th, 2010 by admin

in westren society there are all kind of freedoms are available to talk,to tell opinion,to follow any religon,to follow own culture,to speak own Language.how can we use this allfreedom rights in proper way with out hurt other society or community.

If you use your freedom of religion to worship or not worship as you wish, that isn’t hurting anybody (as long as you don’t hurt anybody over it).

If you voice your opinion or just talk and do it in a respectful way, that isn’t hurting anybody.

You have the freedom to follow your culture or speak your own language, those don’t hurt anybody.

You hurt the society when you introduce hatred of other people’s opinions or religion or culture. You hurt your community when you don’t respect other people in it, when you damage people’s property or when you get a bunch of people together to do something that is damaging to the community.

Most people in Western society respect other people and diversity as long as doesn’t mean someone else’s religion or beliefs prevents them from exercising their rights.

There is a point where someone’s culture or beliefs mean hurting or harming someone else, and that’s when there isn’t freedom to do whatever someone else thinks they should do in Western culture.

You probably know the difference between doing something that hurts others or the community and doing something that doesn’t. All you have to do to exercise your freedoms in Western culture is to do your thing and respect and value the people who are different from you. Everyone needs to work together to preserve things like communities and buildings, and usually people – no matter how different they think – do.

Western society has its relatively minor flaws at times, but for the most part, its pretty easy to live in it and live the way you want as long as you don’t hurt anyone else or destroy property.

To what extent should individuals rights to freedom of speech be limited?

Posted on January 27th, 2010 by admin

How should the government limit or not limit freedom of speech and why???

It depends on how you define the freedom of speech. Most define it as speech between the people and the government. Rather than thinking of putting limits on the freedom of speech, you should think of what is not protected by the freedom of speech. Some examples are threatening to harm or kill someone, ordering others to harm someone or damage property, shouting obscenities, slanderous speech etc.
