Freedom Ride

I am a homeschooling parent. My child has always been home schooled.Her SAT scores are far above any public school child of her age.She is now a teen and in the 9th grade already on a college level term.

Every State requires the Child to have testing done , every year .Some allow a child and their parent or teacher to submit a Portfolio, with all their work and tests and curriculum’s to a professional teacher who is appointed by the State to over see that portfolio and to make sure the child is doing what the State requires .

The SAT tests are performed and done by someone other than the parent and is submitted to the testing facility for scoring and then the results are given to the parent/teacher to take to their States Board of Education for proof of child’s education and its results.

people claim home schooled children are not sociable.That is not true, my child has friends and they participate in what they desire.But for my child she rather not interact with allot of people cause of their behavior.She is already superior in selection and maturity to her actions and their results and consequences. Unlike most public school children who are by that system taught its ok as long as it feels good.And that is where we have a problem with Public schools .It is not student friendly nor is it about a child’s education, but a child being molded to believe whatever that system requires .

My child has options and is allowed to receive Both sides of the story as it were to make up their own mind to what is correct and what is not based on facts and evidence and Historical data.Not what someone says and that’s what you have to do or like or obey without being given BOTH sides of the matter .
Science for example , in public schools demands everything the scientist and the government agenda says must be true and taught as facts without evidence and without question and or debate.
Home schooling allows every one to give their child Both sides of the matter and the facts and evidence to conclude by common sense and value what is True and what is not .
That’s why statistics show home schooled children demonstrate a higher learning ability and have a higher employment value and actual employment is higher than public school system attendees.

Even colleges have learned that children who are allowed to take classes on line at home and to direct their own paths to gain the knowledge and required classes to their curriculum learn faster and at a higher rate then those who are at school participants . The college life is now about the party and the fun and the if it feels good agenda , again , rather than the students learning and becoming higher trained citizens and with the skill set to produce the industrial minded technology of the 21st Century .That’s why public schools are now scrambling to gain more access to the online and home studies agenda !!

Here in my state they are trying to pass laws to raise the age of being able to drop out of school , cause the levels of public school drop outs have tripled.And also in one entire county they got rid of the administrator and replaced them and have taken the schools over and out of the hands of the School board. Also i read in another state where in one school this year is the last year for every teacher in it , and they all are going to be replaced cause of the failure of education in that school.
NOt sure where it was ,it was a story online a few weeks ago .

SO with all that said….its plain to see how the Private and especially the Home schooling, is the best way to go for any child if its possible for the parent to do so .

And parents it doesn’t have to be a trained teacher with some big degree or someone like public schools who are about getting paid not teaching kids.It takes common sense to be a teacher not a degree of years of study to draw a paycheck, and call yourselves any better then any parent who loves their kids
Anyone you know who has the time and the ability to read and count can teach your child everything they need to know and far above any public school teacher with simple basic skills and the desire to do so . All it takes is TLC and the simple cheap home schooling curriculum’s that are online, at your local Board of education or one like the school of tomorrow, or any accredited school curriculum providers !!

With Freedom comes Responsibility.
If you’re in school, you’re still a kid, and will only
be given what ‘they’ think you can handle.

The ‘Catch 22′ is that when you do mature and accept
the Responsibility, it severly restricts the Freedom.

in regards to school [sydney ones], we have certain subjects we can study, sometimes you want to study others but they don’t even offer them here. there are the limitless rules. i mean there’s the whole school uniform one, that’s completely stupid IMO. like we couldn’t wear jewellery, no crazy hair colours, no long nails. if are coming to school/going home, you must be in full school uniform. etc.

at home, i think it’s just as bad. no matter what you do it’s always wrong, parents think you get away with soo much, they barely trust their kids these days.

ooh and you cannot argue with adults because you’re a child, therefore they’re automatically correct, haha.

first define what u generally mean by freedom and then tell what u want as freedom and then write according to the questions

Under the age of 18 you have no freedoms in USA…

The school acts in place of your parents and everyone knows that your parents are responsible for their child

Hi, I’ve a big doubt, can anyone advice me? I’d like to leave my country and live abroad. The problem is that if I go, i leave all my friends and my family here. Things will happen and I will miss them (friends getting married, babies born,ecc). But I think that only if I leave, I’ll have my freedom and I’ll feel alive again even if I’m afraid I could feel lonely once abroad…
(Anyway I’m 21)

well i have been searching for some jobs and i found this company, and the work is done at home…..is this company any good or just a scam?

its is like any other MLM scheme… you enter at the bottom of the pyramid, and you make money for the people ABOVE you… while you hustle you keister off…..

I wouldnt choose it….unless I was foolish with my hard earned $$…

i want to make enough money to have some financial freedom. i’ve tried to research some work from home sites, but most of them look like scams or cost a considerable amount of money just to get started. i’m very crafty and can do almost anything or if i don’t know, i can learn. but i want to work from home and still make the money to support my wife with muscular dystrophy and my 4 kids. please help!!!

Hate to burst your bubble but yeah a lot of those home jobs are scams. It is pretty hard to find a good paying job working at home. What you might have to do is find a job the normal one way and hope they allow you to work telecommunications. If not have you considered trying to work in the evenings.

Also are AmeriplanUSA and Freedom At Home Team, work from home jobs legitimate?

I don’t know about the first one, but Ameriplan and the at home team are "work at home businesses" not "work at home jobs". You will be selling something and will probably need to invest money to get started. If a company wants you to pay a fee for a work at home job, run the other way! If you are looking for a legitimate work at home job go to http://www.workathomedesk.com which is a free site that has a directory of legitimate companies that hire home workers. Depending on your skills and experience, you should find some good leads there.

16 yo daughter who doesn’t have sex, drug or drink, makes good grades, works part time, wants me to not have curfew, to let her stay over with boyfriend, go on out of town, overnight trips. I say no. She can’t understand why. Curfew midnight, weekends, 9pm school nights. I give her a late model car to drive, a cell phone, room of her own, foods of choice,college future, other extras. She still isn’t happy. Am I not understanding something, or her, or both?

Basically she is behaving like a teenager, just like a 2 yr old has their idiosyncrasies, teenagers have theirs. They want the adult stuff but in reality, understand NONE of it.
Unfortunately, the hormones are way dominant at that age and all you can do is try to cope & hope you survive the roller coaster ride.
FYI – stick by those curfew and no overniters rules ! At least if she ignores them and get into ugly circumstance, she will not be able to blame you with the "well, you said I could do it". You are totally right and need to stand by the basic safety rules, just like you would not let a 2 yr old stick objects in an electrical outlet ‘because they want to’ nor did you need to make the 2 yr old understand electricity.
THEY ONLY NEED TO KNOW THE RULES, you can explain it once but do not waste your time defending it after that.

but i dont get treated any better than my 11 year old bro..if I have somthing, he’s gotta have it, if i stay up late, he’s gotta stay up late…it gets annoying…
