Why is the far left destroying America, American Freedom & Chances of being Successful?

Posted on May 3rd, 2011 by admin

Isn’t America becoming a Cuba, Venzuela, Brazilian oppression of the citizens?

Do you actually want an answer? If so, read on. If not, you’ve stirred a few people so mission accomplished.
Here’s the answer: The center left (not far left, no such thing in the USA) are attempting to fix America’s social problems. And they are huge. The opportunity cost of having millions of poor, uneducated people in the USA is growing fast and far outweighs the $2 you save on your sugar loaded lunch because the guy selling it to you is getting paid less than is needed to survive. The poor are taxed more than the rich, and then neglected by governments in the USA in the name of capitalism. America has less freedom than most countries. I’ve been to dozens. It’s obvious. There’s also more depression and poorer health. Your ‘chances’ of being successful are far greater if you have an education and good health.
The USA will continue to spiral down the list in terms of quality of life, standard of education and health until the people demand that the government do something to fix it, and the government actually DOES fix it, instead of spending a few million on marketing their erroneous policies. The people need to see through this and hold them to account. Fat chance, I know.

American freedom still means occupying other countries and make them slave, right?

I don’t admit any objections.

No, we don’t them to be our slaves, we just like to occupy.

In what ways did the boundaries of American freedom grow narrower in this period?

Was the American Revolution about Freedom and Political Liberty, or just about paying less taxes?

Posted on March 12th, 2011 by admin

Was the American Revolution about Freedom and Political Liberty, or just about paying less taxes? Or are the two the same thing? Explain.

please list any sources thank you!

A complex issue.
Fundamentally, the American Colonies wanted to be treated with the same rights as Englishmen.
The English King and Government saw the American Colonies as were theirs to do with as they wished. They owned them, wanted them for the resources they could provide and felt the colonists had no right to petition for redress of grievances.
At the time, the Age of Enlightenment – the philosophy of Hobbes, Hume, Locke, Rousseau, Montesquieu all discussed in one way or another the concept of a social contract between the ruler and the ruled. The American Colonists saw they were being told to abide by one side of it- obedience to the King, but not receiving the benefits of citizenship and protection by the Crown, but the contrary.
The imposition of Taxes by fiat, without any discussion, or agreement added to the sense of powerlessness and not having any voice in their lives and destiny, aside from the economic cost they represented.

How is Wiki Leaks Anti American when Freedom is our Number 1 priority?

Posted on March 7th, 2011 by admin

In the constitution it says a little something about Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Press etc

why are republicans trying to take my freedom away to know what my government is doing with my tax dollars ?

And trying to cover this up like a communist dictator regime and trying to execute press from releasing information to me a citizen with the right to know where my money is going to this corrupt government?

It isn’t and in addition most lawyers are now saying that they are a news organization and can release this material.

Face it, the primary reason most of it is "Top Secret" isn’t to protect the US, it is to protect the politicians who do not want Americans to know what they are doing in their name. Most is for convenience.

I can understand that the US does not want people to know we actually murdered detainees at black-op sites. I mean it violates quite a few of world laws.

If slavery never ended, would the Africans and Native American fight for freedom and would they succeed?

Posted on December 17th, 2010 by admin

If slavery never ended, would the Africans and Native American fight for freedom or would they be too scared to fight against the colonists and slave owners? And if they decided to fight for freedom, would they succeed?

I’d fight and probably kill a couple hundred people before they killed me.

Why do liberals think that American freedom of religion applies to religions other than Christianity?

Posted on November 24th, 2010 by admin

When the first Amendment said congress could not establish a religion it meant it couldn’t establish a specific kind of Christianity.

Why are "educated" liberals too stupid to realize that this is one time we ignore both the actual words of the Constitution and the "original intent" since niether actually agree with what typical conservatives agree with?

Thomas Jefferson and the Supreme Court disagree with you. They were pretty smart guys when it came to the Constitution, so I think I would tend to take their interpretation over yours.

How did the Cold War reshape ideas of American Freedom?

Posted on November 22nd, 2010 by admin

I need help answering this question, its part of my study guide. Thanks in advance for helping :]

Interesting question… I think because after the WWII and during the Cold War, American "national security" political discourse was based on the stability of the international community. Therefore, the State developed an ideology or discourse in which political or economic instability around the world was perceived as a threat to its "freedoms" (grounded on the notions of individualism, democracy, freedom of enterprise -Capitalism). That explains the interventionist approach of US politics and expansion of militarism after WWII.

So, "American Freedom" was reshaped into an internationalist agenda focused on the expansion of its ideals and institutions. On the other hand, that ideology was not necessarily new, it was grounded in the 19th century, but the developments of the WWII as well as the antagonistic relationship with the USSR during the Cold War, gave the opportunity to develop a view of "American Freedom" that was interwoven with the stability of the international community.

To understand more clearly this point, ask yourself: Why things that happens in remote countries in the world are of national security interest of the US, why those things menace American Freedoms?

Hope this helps! ;)

Now that Operation Iraqi Freedom is over, when does Operation American Freedom start?

When Europe decides to put Americans’ feet on the floor.

And sorry, but I wouldn’t call the invasion Iraqi Freedon, but Oil Theft.

What is the American definition of freedom because I don’t think I get it?

Posted on November 18th, 2010 by admin

I keep hearing that the government needs to stop interfering. So I suggested Somalia must be freer as they have no government at all. Then people said Somalia is not free, it’s oppressive. I don’t understand what the American idea of freedom is and why America is more free than anywhere, even Somalia where there is no laws.

Please explain freedom to me?

The unspoken US definition of ‘freedom’ is: no responsibility. Most Americans don’t like to say it aloud and even more so they like to pretend it’s not true but if you pay attention to what Americans say every time they specifically address the subject, you will notice every time that what they are saying is that they don’t ever want to be responsible for the consequences of their actions.
