Well if you are not afraid to live you are free to do more things. Maybe it is your own self taking away our own freedom because when we are scared. However, if these soldiers make us feel safe we then become free to do as we please again. Therefor they are fighting for our freedom.

American soldiers fight and die for American interests – sometimes its freedom, sometimes its for the aid of an ally.

Actually, to those who say "pick up and read a history book" I think it might be necessary for you to do the same.

Washington’s farewell address specifically states that the US should adopt a foreign policy of non-intervention, something that could have done us a lot of good in all conflicts leading up to today.

And screw the poster who gave homeschoolers a bad rap – your reliance on government-run education facilities has thwarted any attempt to even understand the intelligent works of the founding fathers.

If terrorist get a hold of a country like Afghanistan then they have a safe harbor to plot and plan and a staging ground.They also,then have access to a lot of money to buy weapons and infiltrate another country with people and a plan like they did on 9\11 Osama and his army of terrorist want ALL people who are not muslim dead.They want the Earth to only be full of muslims.This is what they want and believe in and it is there one and only goal.Our soldiers are the only thing standing in there way right now in this time .Weather in Iraq Afghanistan,or were ever they are.Not only are they protecting our freedom{the worlds really}but are right to excisest.

Your FREEDOMS are being protected everyday even if you don’t realize it ( well for the time being that is, don’t know whats going to happen now that this country is going to hE LL…)
You have the freedom to come and go as you please, do as you want… You have the freedom to go to a fast food restaurant and choose what you want to eat… If you work you have the freedom to choose what kind of job you work at… You have the freedom to choose what kinds of foods you eat…
If you have children, you have the freedom to choose what kinds of education they receive… As of now people have the choice of what kinds of health care they may receive etc… You have the freedoms to listen to what kinds of music you want to listen too, what kinds of TV, you watch… The list goes on and on.. Right now you have the freedom to sit on a PC… Many people in many countries, do not have the FREEDOM and or choices we have…. Our brave soldiers are fighting for US to protect OUR rights…

When an American soldier is on site in any situation not considered peaceful endeavor, and any average American is home doing what average Americans do, an American soldier is defending that Freedom of leisure.

Okay so lets just give the soldeirs a week off. Yep, all of them no matter what rank! Lets let all the soldiers over seas come back to america and spend the week with their loved ones, and that includes the soldiers in iraq, afganistan, korea, etc….just give them all the same week off…while were at it lets give the national guard and coast guard the day off too….imma let you tell me how america will be after that week is over.

the soldiers are fighting for your freedom to sit on your computer and write stupid rants without bombs dropping on your house.

How are they fighting for our freedom? They are fighting to make sure you don’t have a 767 rammed up your ass while you are at the office.

Okay, so the people killed on 9/11 are free to do what they want to today? Without safety and security, it limits your options of what you can and can’t do.
