Posted on October 25th, 2009 by admin

They was attack on 911, but has this always becoming happening? It’s wonder, US has bring on to themselves. DO not destroy liberty. This is against constitution. They has extreme paranoia! Not all peoples is terrorist, not all is criminals, but peoples want PRIVACY! Peoples do not like being WATCHED. Peoples do not want to be arested without WARRANT because they say wrong thing. NOOOOO!!! Freedom. Why the American government against FREEDOM? Even American citizens says it is OK! Americans, your country is not as good as you think.

Well Olav, let’s look at the Constitution.

Article I Section 9

The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, UNLESS when in cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it.

Hijackers on our soil who would fly civilian aircraft into civilian targets constitutes an invasion and is a threat to public safety.

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against UNREASONABLE searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

I don’t see a prohibition of all warrant less searches there.

Amendment V

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, EXCEPT in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Notice the exception?

Only a dufus could miss it.

The Constitution has within it the tools to defend liberty from enemies.

And we will use them.

part of it may have to do with the politics of fear and trying to get votes by causing others to think that the opponent, the Democrat is weak on terror

They just did that so that global corporations could get richer and throw some US politicians some profits.

The leaders didn’t care a hoot about people or freedom.

If a country that suspends it’s rights to gain freedom deserves neither.

This is what happens when you give monkeys typewriters. Have you come up with the works of Shakespeare yet?

That aside, you do make a valid point. Americans are scared of everything and are in constant need of a sense of security.

I think the United States has a ways to come. Progress has been stifled, from civil rights to new technology, in the last 8 years. I believe we can change.
