If the terrorists attacked the US because they hate American freedom was the Patriot Act Bush’s surrender ?

Posted on February 16th, 2010 by admin

19 men armed with box cutters (so the story goes) attacked America because they hate US freedoms –

Bush in an act of surrender – takes those freedoms away from the American people

Agree disagree ?

I think you mean that the American people are angry with Bush for giving the terrorists exactly what they wanted

An end to American freedom

Bush surrendered to the wishes of those who attacked you and ended the freedoms of Americans

So yes I imagine a lot of people do hate Bush’s actions of a coward who surrendered to the wishes of those who attacked America

I agree, except you forgot the part about 11 countries warning us in advance of an attack and Chaney ordering our air national defense to "Stand down" on 9/11.

Co-incidence? That made Chaney fabulously rich with war profiteering? I think not.

British Member of Parliment says

"It is known that at least 11 countries provided advance warning to the U.S. of the
9/11 attacks."

little bit of a paradox isn’t it

Taking away basic civil liberties is a serious matter, because once taken away, it’s almost impossible to get them back. As a rule, they don’t get taken away by dramatic strokes, but rather eaten away, eroded. That’s what Bush and company (read Cheney) are doing. The difficulty is that a lot of people simply don’t care, either because they approve of harsh treatment of people they perceive as enemies, or because they simply use all their energy just getting through the day.

Agree! I think it’s high time Americans flagrantly touted their rights! This country is about individual liberty and collective justice. Not majority rules . . . not anything for safety . . . It disgusts me that some of my countrymen find it so easy to act like a bad @ss in someone else’s back yard but yet can’t find the nerve to tell their government to piss off . . .

And if the Patriot Act had not gone into affect and there had been another mass terrorist attack on this country, you same people would be accusing President Bush of murdering Americans with his inaction.

You hate President Bush. Anything he does or doesn’t do you will automatically hate. You place your hatred of President Bush above the security of this nation. And you do it with pride.

We need to wipe these terrorists out because they hate our freedoms. Well supposedly so does Bush since he has taken great pleasure in ignoring them anyways. The PATRIOT ACT, the NSA wiretapping program, etc.. is just evidence that Bush is the biggest terrorist that America has ever seen.

So true. They don’t hate us for our freedoms as the neo-cons would have us believe. They hate us for our imperialism.
