How did the New Deal recast the meaning of American freedom?

She isn’t asking what the New Deal is. She asks how it recasted the meaning of american freedom. This mostly applies to the second new deal. -.-

    The New Deal was a government program that Roosevelt implemented during the Depression to help Americans. I think it helped people regain their lives. The New Deal helped with poverty, food, medicine and other social work programs like the Social Security Act. People were allowed to live a little better again and slowly came back from the depression.
