What would be a dissenting opinion regarding freedom of press?

Posted on February 19th, 2011 by admin

What are some exceptions to it?

I would say you cannot have a press that purposly lies to the public. The press does not have the freedom to lie. Or at least it should’nt. Our press lies and omits all the time.

Why the fuss over WikiLeaks; Freedom of speech and the press?

Posted on February 17th, 2011 by admin

Has the US government forgot there is such a thing as freedom of the press?… This sort of thing has gone on for a long time, with every media outlet throughout the years.

Every Government has the need o exchange confidential information for reasons that are obvious to most people. Stealing and then releasing classified information is not exercising "Freedom of Speech…" It’s called treason.

I do note however…. that the Obama Administration is concerned about this second leak more than the first…. could it be because the latest dump is centered on Clinton’s State Department communications and nothing to do with President Bush…?

Are Congressman and Senators using WikiLeaks as a casus belli for abolishing freedom of the press?

Posted on February 15th, 2011 by admin

With the rhetoric that’s going on it sounds like many politicians, particularly Republicans, are looking to abolish the 1st amendment right of freedom of the press. They’re want to do it in the name of "national security".

Those on Capitol Hill are fine with journalists only as long as they’re complacent.

Every American needs to stand up and oppose this kind of rhetoric. These ideas are unAmerican and authoritarian.

More likely a casus belli to control and censor the internet. Although it has nothing to do with transportation DHS has already started shutting down domains based on alleged copyright infringements (in violation of the Constitution that says one shall not be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process).

The US Government wants people to get their news from approved sources, those they can control, this may be one way to start censoring unapproved sources.

Which do you think has a greater value in life: freedom, or money?

Posted on February 13th, 2011 by admin

Any reason?

(no answer is wrong, of course. It’s all your opinion :] )

Freedom of course – With freedom, you can work to earn money, but with all the money you will fail to buy you freedom

Why is having a freedom of press a good thing?

Posted on February 10th, 2011 by admin

Like you can go to the press and get anything published (based on if your facts are there and accurate) Why is having that freedom good?

Because if the press does not have freedom to print whatever it wants, then the government has control over whatever is printed.
That type of system leads to the promotion of whatever is the current political power at the time.

Take Venezuela for instance. Hugo Chavez now controls all media within the country because he took over any media company who was critical of his leadership. Now, nobody is allowed to be critical of his leadership. That means he can do anything he wants, even if it destroys the country, because nobody will be there to point out his mistakes.

Christians: If you live in a nice home, with lots of food, wealth, and freedom, does that mean God blessed you?

Posted on February 9th, 2011 by admin

If you don’t have these things, or a negative account of these things, does that therefore mean God has cursed you?

I have little in the way of material riches. However, I am richer by far than most in the blessings of God. My life is full of love, peace and the knowledge that no matter what I lose, no matter what happens in my life, God walks with me step by step and takes me from glory to glory.

Although God can and does bless some people with worldly materials, people sometimes "bless" themselves in many different ways and attribute it to God. When these people lose their worldly "blessings", they can lose their hope and faith.

I’m going to be home alone for two weeks and I need some ideas of what to do with my freedom?

Posted on February 7th, 2011 by admin

I’m old enough to drive and I’m a guy. And I’m basically looking for crazy stuff, and not just like "learn a new skill" or whatever. More like "walk around the house naked" and wilder stuff.

Honestly, you have the idea. Two weeks alone?!
YES! Get naked right off the bat.
That is your first step.
Secondly, while in the house, you will not wear clothes for two weeks. EVER.
Unless you have company, and even then, try to get them nude too :)
Third, jack off every chance you get.
Since you will already be nude, it won’t be hard, and you’ll have all teh time you need, with no disruptions.
Fourth, dance around your house blaring music till all hours of the night!
Why not?!
Fifth, realize no one else is home. You no longer have to shut doors to shower, or use the washroom.
Sixth, snoop! I’m sure there’s someone in your house who’s things you’d like to snoop through, now’s your chance!

Wow… I wish I was you!

has anyone heard of the home based business Freedom Project?

Posted on February 5th, 2011 by admin

anyone?

Hi ladycindy,

According to my research on this name it is a subset of a web site called the freedom project. Although there are many sites titled "the freedom project" most are political action committees of one sort or another. This particular one you asked about is the home page for the Shaklee Products corporation, a manufacturer of concentrated home products sold by distributors as a home business.
Is this for you? Only you can answer this, but bear in mind that 98% of distributors quit within six to twelve months, leaving a major segment of the market for these products for those willing to put in the time to make a home based business succeed. There’s no money raining from the sky scenario in any worthwhile business venture (this is one) it takes time to build a replacement income for whatever you have now.

Hope this helps.

Foster home freedom???????????????????????????

Posted on February 2nd, 2011 by admin

Do you have freedom in a foster home? What kinda stuff can you do?

As in life, we are never without rules and guidelines, and I expect your foster home will have those. But hopefully, your foster parents will provide fun things to do along with showing you how to be responsible and how to work under a schedule.
