How do I gain freedom from life?

Posted on November 30th, 2010 by admin

I want to be free from money, people, and society but also have the bare necessities and live with honor.

Basically I got something against society.

I will never grow up and never want to
*Alternative option:

How do I get people to stop being pawns, cowards and have honor? Anarchy would be best

Go the wilderness of Alaska and disappear. Unfortunately there are very few places left to escape from society. A hermit like existence in an unspoiled part of nature is the only alternative, but even there you’ll probably be "trespassing" on someone’s property. A hermit like existence is all that I can imagine. Even buying your own property and isolating yourself would be impossible unless you’re wealthy enough to afford to pay property taxes and the like.
Have you tried finding someone that shares your disdain for societal pressures that you can share your life with? It’s preferable to have a partner in existence rather than be truly alone – regardless of the philosophical question of whether or not we are always alone.
There are like minded people that never want to conform, have you considered seeking them out as an alternative to being a hermit or a loner?
There are artists of every medium who allow themselves to retain their childlike wonder, and who even share it with the rest of us – could be a better solution.
Good luck on your quest for happiness.

What state has the most freedom for owning and using firearms.?

Posted on November 27th, 2010 by admin

I want to be able to fire guns in my backyard etc. without having neighbors calling the cops on me.
Yes my back yard and it wont be small. And i hate city-like areas i like quiet spacious areas. Almost like a large field like area or woodland area.

In your backyard? Hope it is a big one with the appropriate safeguards. I can shoot in my backyard. I am outside of city limits. But I do not because there are houses only 200 yards from my back fence.

Why do liberals think that American freedom of religion applies to religions other than Christianity?

Posted on November 24th, 2010 by admin

When the first Amendment said congress could not establish a religion it meant it couldn’t establish a specific kind of Christianity.

Why are "educated" liberals too stupid to realize that this is one time we ignore both the actual words of the Constitution and the "original intent" since niether actually agree with what typical conservatives agree with?

Thomas Jefferson and the Supreme Court disagree with you. They were pretty smart guys when it came to the Constitution, so I think I would tend to take their interpretation over yours.

How did the Cold War reshape ideas of American Freedom?

Posted on November 22nd, 2010 by admin

I need help answering this question, its part of my study guide. Thanks in advance for helping :]

Interesting question… I think because after the WWII and during the Cold War, American "national security" political discourse was based on the stability of the international community. Therefore, the State developed an ideology or discourse in which political or economic instability around the world was perceived as a threat to its "freedoms" (grounded on the notions of individualism, democracy, freedom of enterprise -Capitalism). That explains the interventionist approach of US politics and expansion of militarism after WWII.

So, "American Freedom" was reshaped into an internationalist agenda focused on the expansion of its ideals and institutions. On the other hand, that ideology was not necessarily new, it was grounded in the 19th century, but the developments of the WWII as well as the antagonistic relationship with the USSR during the Cold War, gave the opportunity to develop a view of "American Freedom" that was interwoven with the stability of the international community.

To understand more clearly this point, ask yourself: Why things that happens in remote countries in the world are of national security interest of the US, why those things menace American Freedoms?

Hope this helps! ;)

Now that Operation Iraqi Freedom is over, when does Operation American Freedom start?

When Europe decides to put Americans’ feet on the floor.

And sorry, but I wouldn’t call the invasion Iraqi Freedon, but Oil Theft.

What is the American definition of freedom because I don’t think I get it?

Posted on November 18th, 2010 by admin

I keep hearing that the government needs to stop interfering. So I suggested Somalia must be freer as they have no government at all. Then people said Somalia is not free, it’s oppressive. I don’t understand what the American idea of freedom is and why America is more free than anywhere, even Somalia where there is no laws.

Please explain freedom to me?

The unspoken US definition of ‘freedom’ is: no responsibility. Most Americans don’t like to say it aloud and even more so they like to pretend it’s not true but if you pay attention to what Americans say every time they specifically address the subject, you will notice every time that what they are saying is that they don’t ever want to be responsible for the consequences of their actions.

Would you be willing to give your life for the freedom of your people?

I am not talking about getting paid for it like in the military either.

Only certain people, most other people are to self absorbed.

Do you miss the freedom of civi life when in basic training ?

Posted on November 12th, 2010 by admin

I was just thinking cos my basic training would be 22weeks.

Cos in the military your life is the Militarys and they kinda choose what u do u arnt in control of things as much as a civi but I would like military life more cos it’s way more rewarded

First couple of weeks you will miss everything for sure, but you will be kept busy and be making new friends, as the weeks pass you won’t miss it so much and will be starting to adapt to your new surroundings, pretty much in your basic the Army will chose everything you do 24 hours a day, it’s a load of bs to test your mental strength and character. just keep your head down, make friends, say yes sir, no sir etc and it gets more normal once you join your unit.
