Asking because a lot of people think sometimes the press violates the right to privacy regularly.

Freedom of the press provided that the press isn’t currupt and biased towards a particular agenda (sound familiar).

One can lose the right to privacy because IT IS NOT A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT. It’s only a priveledge that you can lose due to suspect actions.

Legal adult in the United States (and many other countries). However, if an 18 year old lives in the home with his parents, then they still would have some control over him financially and emotionally.

suppose someone posted unkind information about you, on a website. Do you have the right to take it down? What about pictures of the rich and famous on the internet? are these pictures protected by freedom of speech, meaning that even if they are embarrasing, the person who posted them should be aloud to do so?

The basis of freedom of speech had more to do with a free press and the right of people to assemble in protest, etc. Many other issues such as you are talking about have more to do with irresponsible use of free speech and a lack of respect for others..

seems sad that us involves itself only in popular wars. but wont touch africa etc where military intervention wud help millions of lives be better
please the question relates to equality and us morals in foreign plicy . dont give me a arab bashn . think of africa and its misery that is totally ignored as the us cant see any big oil, votes or , corporate growth

America wanted the Palestinians to have a free democratic elections but when they did and voted overwhelming for Hamas America suddenly cried out that Hamas were a terrorist group.And yet America seem to turn a blind eye to the crimes committed by Israel for the last 60 odd years. Why did they ignore all these crimes or did they just chose to do so to applease their Zionists friends ? Whatever the reason they MUST have known what Israel were doing and yet continue to veto any criticism made at the UN In fact over 60 times. Take a look at this list of just some of Israels war crimes and judge for yourself. Is it any wonder that after all this time Hamas finally started to take action in 2001.

Choosing the lesser evil by fighting for a less authoritarian leader.

USA tells China that Christianity should be allowed to be promugated by westerners in China. USA tells China that Tibetains should have autonomy to run their affairs including practicing their religion. USA tells China to consume more and export less. USA tells China to spend more money to buy consumer goods. USA tells China to raise its currency, so that USA can export more into China. USA tells China to stop censoring the media and press and that freedom of the press should be prevalent. USA tells China that they should not spend so much money on the military. USA tells China that they should not invest in Africa to aid governments that don’t have their internal affairs in order. What does China tell the USA? Nothing, they just listen, smile, and do what they decide. Why? Because USA promotes whats good for USA, not China. And they do it with a smile. What USA characterized is religious freedom and human rights violations, China rejects such characterization, USA don’t know what China is doing, and such accusations by the west is absurd in the eyes of slanteyes. So they just ignore what rubbish the big nose whitie is talking about. An old confucius saying goes like this: Those that talk alot and are loud, knows nothing. Those that say nothing, knows alot. China’s vision in the continent of Africa is successful in the eyes of africans, much development and win win is going on their, it is in direct opposition to western government methods (which failed to help that continent in agriculture and infrastructure development), China is an opportunity for Africans to develop their country in partnership with the east. Africans do not like the stick of the west which says, do as westerners tell you, or you will not get our investments. Africans tell the west, ok, we will not listen to you nor welcome your investments with strings. Frankly, threats don’t move africans, only cooperation and mutual respect, which westerners don’t have for africans. Go home yankee.

Your post is an excellent example of why Americans should support American businesses instead of spending their dollars in support of the Chinese government.
