What rights to Freedom of Speech do you have while your working?

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 by admin

If your not allowed to talk to fellow employees while working is the a violation of freedom of speech?
Do you guys have any links to support this?

(i belive you i just want proof)

The ability to talk to co-workers has nothing to do with freedom of speech. Now if you were fired because you were talking to co-workers about forming a union, and the boss is anti-union then that could be an issue.

Does the freedom of information law apply to state run student loan foundations?

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 by admin

I have been trying to get errors in my account corrected for about 5 years.

Sallie Mae is the worst, unfortunately they are not state run.

Good luck.

The credit bureaus hire handicappers with no ability to think rationally.

How did abolitionism change the meaning of American freedom?

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 by admin

Abolitionism was the public face of a society waking up to the realization that skin color has no bearing on the worth of a human being.
Did it change the meaning of freedom? No. It declared that all law abiding people who live in this country are extended the same rights and freedoms.

Do you thrive freedom in your life?

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 by admin

I do. I live at home and I don’t have a car or anything. I think i would be alot more comfortable if I only had the option to go where ever I want and do whatever I want to do. Financial freedom too. I wish I was rich so I would have enough money to buy anything or take a vacation any time.

Are you comfortable, or do you need freedom too?

I want freedom too. I want to be able to go wherever I want, do what I want, and buy whatever I want. I think you can if you let yourself, but then you think of things such as you might go broke or might end up somewhere bad. I believe that you can do whatever you want and buy whatever you with a good reason.

What should I say to the creator of a homophobic Facebook group from my school?

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 by admin

The group’s description says, "Why would anybody want to be gay? Everybody should be against it." Of course, the creator of the group has freedom of speech, but I think of this group as an attack against me and other gay students. Our school already has a problem with homophobic bullying, and 200 people joining this group is not going to help anything.

What should I say to the guy who created it?

You should tell your school. And also, if a group of parents of LGBT kids complain to the principle together, you might be able to get the kid who started it expelled. Especially if the parent’s threaten to go to the media, or sue the school for discrimination.
